We work together with American Red Cross to provide support to members of the US Armed Forces in cases of personal emergency such as illness or death of family members. Palau Red Cross assists in verification and notification to members of the U.S. Military of serious illness es or death of an immediate family member. The service member is able to come home on an emergency leave and be with their family. To expedite this notification, the following information must be available about the service member:

• Full name and rank

• Social Security Number

• Unit I military address

• Death Certificate or Doctor’s Interpretive Statement (DIS)
